Prototype → Live

How-To

How to take your Lovable or Replit app to production

Five steps: audit, secure, fix the data layer, add real payments and monitoring, then deploy. Whether you built it on Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Claude or v0, the path from working prototype to a secure live product is the same. Here’s exactly how to do it — or hand it to a senior team and skip the learning curve.

The Steps

From prototype to production in 5 steps

  1. Audit it — List every gap — auth, secrets, data, cost, security. Score what’s launch-blocking vs nice-to-have.
  2. Lock down security — Move secrets to env vars, add real auth and roles, validate inputs, set rate limits and security headers.
  3. Fix the data layer — Real schema, indexes, migrations and automated backups so it scales past a handful of users.
  4. Add payments, errors & monitoring — Real payment flow with webhooks, graceful error handling, and alerts so you know when something breaks.
  5. Deploy & hand over — Ship to production hosting with CI, env config and docs — and you own the repo.

Costs and timelines for each: Prototype → Production (from a $500 audit).

DIY or Done-For-You

Do it yourself, or have us do it

If you’re technical and have time, the steps above are doable — budget a few focused weeks and expect to learn auth, infra and security the hard way. If you’re a solopreneur who’d rather ship: we run all five for you, starting with a $500 audit, and walk you through every decision. Either way, freeze new features until production basics are done.
